This mountain water or Swiss Water processed coffee is grown by the CONFROCAFE Coffee Cooperative in northern Peru. CENFROCAFE is comprised of about 2,000 small farmers which produce Fair Trade and Organically grown coffee. Because equipment to process coffee is so expensive, many small farmers are forming cooperatives to share equipment costs, knowledge, and to improve the quality of their coffee. They also support community development projects, provide loans to the farms to cover the costs of harvesting, production, and sending their children to school.Also, CENFROCAFE is known for growing great coffee. We’re proud to roast these coffee beans and share them with you. It produces a rich cup with an aroma of honey and almonds, medium body, with a sweet and subtle fruity finish.ROAST: Medium (City). REGION: Norte. ALTITUDE: 1400 meters. VARIETAL: Typica, Caturra and Bourbon. PROCESSING METHOD: Fully washed. Pulped on farm, sun dried.All of our coffee is roasted to order and shipped fresh daily. We package in air-tight, foil-lined bags with one-way degassing valves to preserve freshness.
